Frequently Asked Questions

What is PoFA?

PoFA is an acronym for the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012. Passed into law in 2012, the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 (PoFA) caused a seismic shift in the parking industry in England and Wales by banning wheel clamping on private land but enabling parking operators and private land owners to access keeper details from the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA).

What this means is that a parking operator can pursue the registered keeper of a vehicle for an outstanding parking charge where the driver can not be identified or has no serviceable name or address.
